Of course I had to wear my grey Vero Moda blazer from London Drugs again. The only thing I don’t like about this blazer is that the pockets are fake. I love pockets because I always have random stuff with me and they always come in handy, so fake pockets are kind of like a slap in the face. But it’s okay. They are forgiven, because this blazer is otherwise just so fabulous. I feel like this grey goes well with navy, so I paired it with this navy top that I got at La Vie En Rose. I suppose it’s technically meant as a pajama top or loungewear or whatever, but I felt like it was too nice to have its use be limited to just in the house. I wanted a really light scarf for that day so I chose my rainbow looking one from the UBC Sub. And I decided to wear my Swarovski necklace again with my Payless earrings, UBC Sub ring, and Suzy Shier bracelet. And Marshalls pants.I’m going to miss wearing blazers when the weather gets too hot.
I got this floral jacket from Suzy Shier at Capilano Mall. It kind of made me think of like an older lady jacket at the time for some reason but I still liked it. They also had this style in leopard print, but since I already own so much leopard print, I opted for this colourful one instead. I think this was my first time wearing it. I used to not like pairing green and purple together because it made me think of Barney. But who’s to say Barney’s colour scheme wasn’t fabulous? Also, is that show even still around? Do kids today even know about Barney? Anyway, I love the purples in this garden looking floral jacket. I got this green top from Jacob at Richmond Centre while I worked there. I remember one time I wore it and my manager thought I wasn’t following the dress code because she didn’t realize that it was a top that we currently sold. It’s simple, but I love this shade of green. I got the matching scarf from one of the scarf vendors in the UBC Sub. The ends are kind of unravelling a bit at this point and it doesn’t provide that much warmth, but it can still make a fashion statement. And of course I’m wearing all my favourite green and gold jewellery.
I met my friend for brunch at the Elbow Room a few weekends ago and had time to kill downtown after we parted ways. Naturally, I decided to go shopping at Pacific Centre. I realize that it’s not that much of a novelty shopping at H&M downtown anymore, since we now have our own location at Richmond Centre. But the Richmond one doesn’t have two floors and three sets of fitting rooms. And I’m just not completely used to it yet. So I went and bought this dress at the H&M at Pacific Centre. I ended up coincidentally wearing it on 4/20, realizing after the fact that some of the green leaves on it kind of resemble marijuana leaves. I didn’t partake in 4/20, but this outfit may have ended up smelling like I did, since I happened to go out for dinner downtown that day. This light green cardigan is one of my favourite non-bra items that I bought while working at Jacob Lingerie. I love buying clothes at lingerie stores because they totally work for everyday wear and no one would know the difference. I remember my manager asking me if I was sure I wanted it and I was. I’m glad I did because it’s perfect for hot days when you just need something light. Plus it has pockets! I couldn’t find a green scarf that day, so I settled on this black Orb one instead. Pretty much every time I wear green, I ended up including this leaf necklace in my outfit, because it’s fabulous.
