I got this dress at H&M at Richmond Centre last week. It’s the same style as the one I have with the green leaves on it. I normally don’t like to buy things that are so similar, but this one was on sale for only $7, so I figure I couldn’t go wrong. It’s one of those dresses where it’s not my favourite, but it’s still nice. At first I thought it had pinecones on it, but now I think they’re actually pineapples. I paired it with my green Ross cardigan.
My black necklace is new. I got it at Greek Day on Broadway on Sunday. It was from the same vendor that I bought my purple necklace from. I got my green earrings from another vendor, also at Greek Day. They are little clothespins. I thought that was unique. My bracelet is from Dollarama. This green ring is from Boca Raton Designs, also at Greek Day. I was only going to buy the purple one, but the guy told me he’d give them to me for a bit less if I bought two. Yes, it’s tight, but I figure I’ll just wear them while I can, until one day my fingers swell and I’ll no longer be able to. But for now, I’m loving the bling. I’m also wearing new shoes today, but you can’t see them in this photo.
On my third day of work, I dressed in mostly purple. I got the dress from Plenty (one of the first things I ever bought there I think) and the tank from Jacob (RIP Jacob, my last mall job. I remember at one point there were four different Jacob stores in Richmond Centre. Now there are none. I’m glad they waited years after I left before filing for bankruptcy). The sweater is one of the few items I own from Aritzia (I pretty much only enter that store when dragged in by a friend and then proceed to find the best possible sale item). I liked the sweater because of the glitter and the pockets. If I had my way, every sweater would have pockets. The scarf is from Avon (which I regrettably started selling last year if anyone’s interested) and the jewellery is from Claire’s (my first ever mall job).
So much shopping and work history in just one outfit.
