Since Wednesday was supposed to be another cold and possibly rainy day, I reluctantly decided to wear pants, despite the fact that I had shaved my legs just a few days earlier. These black pants are from Target and are a bit lighter than my Marshalls ones. I got this top at Sears at Richmond Centre not too long before they closed. My dad put it on his Sears card so it would be cheaper. Thanks Dad! Since the weather was cooler, I decided on my red Vero Moda blazer from The Bay. This worked well, since these pants lack pockets, but this blazer has quite spacious ones. My black scarf is from an Orb warehouse sale, my red video game heart necklace is from Fan Expo Vancouver, my red earrings are from a kiosk at Lansdowne Centre, my ring is from UBC, and my bracelet is from Dollarama. It had also been five days since I’d washed my hair, and I didn’t plan on doing so anytime soon. Whenever I happen to take the time to straighten my hair, I like to wait as long as I possibly can in order to prolong the effects.
Of course I had to wear my grey Vero Moda blazer from London Drugs again. The only thing I don’t like about this blazer is that the pockets are fake. I love pockets because I always have random stuff with me and they always come in handy, so fake pockets are kind of like a slap in the face. But it’s okay. They are forgiven, because this blazer is otherwise just so fabulous. I feel like this grey goes well with navy, so I paired it with this navy top that I got at La Vie En Rose. I suppose it’s technically meant as a pajama top or loungewear or whatever, but I felt like it was too nice to have its use be limited to just in the house. I wanted a really light scarf for that day so I chose my rainbow looking one from the UBC Sub. And I decided to wear my Swarovski necklace again with my Payless earrings, UBC Sub ring, and Suzy Shier bracelet. And Marshalls pants.I’m going to miss wearing blazers when the weather gets too hot.
Yes, I own two of the same blazer in different colours. After finding that green Vero Moda blazer at Winners, I discovered that The Bay had it in red. Red is just so bold and bright and wanted to add more of it to my wardrobe. But that mint green blazer was such a lovely colour too. I debated briefly and then decided to purchase the red one as well. One can never have too many Vero Moda blazers. I just feel ready to take on the world when I wear it. I got this black top from H&M. I think it was at the one at West Edmonton Mall actually. I’ve only been there once. I was there for my brother’s and sister’s youth bowling tournament when they made it to the Nationals. My dad was a coach and so they needed another adult to stay with them while he went to meetings. So I got to spend 3 days standing in a bowling alley. But on the first day, we had free time to briefly visit the mall. I remember I almost bought this top in green, but I’m glad I decided on the black. I remember there was no PST because it was Alberta so I was pleasantly surprised. My video game heart necklace is from Fan Expo Expo Vancouver and my red earrings are from a kiosk at Lansdowne Centre.
Okay, so this is definitely my new favourite blazer! I noticed it when I was at London Drugs a few times, and eventually decided to try it on. Then I didn’t buy it right away, but went back a couple days later and made it mine. I’ve never bought clothes at London Drugs before. Usually it’s my main stop for food and health and beauty essentials. Who knew it was also a great place for professional clothing? They sell Vero Moda stuff there now for decent prices so this may not be the end of my buying clothing there, since I love Vero Moda and Vero Moda blazers. Grey may be considered kind of plain, but I just love the shape and the fit of this blazer so much. I paired it with the blue dress that I had worn on my first day of work with a different Vero Moda blazer. This dress just seems to go well with blazers. I got this Swarovski necklace as a Christmas present a few years ago from my cousins. It’s my favourite shorter necklace and I’ll be wearing it more now that it’s warmer and I don’t need to cover up with scarves. I got my music note earrings at a jewellery vendor at the PNE last summer, along with a few other random silver earrings in the shapes of various objects.London Drugs might just be my new favourite clothing store.
So I decided to wear this Vero Moda blazer again, but with pants this time. I love it and I wanted to be able to showcase it again before the weather becomes too hot for blazers. It’s probably one of the best Winners finds I’ve purchased. My black top is from Suzy Shier and my black pants are from Marshalls. I feel like my gold leaf necklace just goes best with this blazer since it matches the gold zippers on the pockets. Speaking of zippers, I also wore my green zipper earrings from Claire’s. And I make it a point to wear a ring and bracelet because they just add a little something to the look.
I started a new job a couple weeks ago. And I took a selfie that morning because I wanted to show off the new blazer that I bought. Vero Moda from Winners. I feel like the colour is perfect for spring and I love that it has zippered pockets. The blue dress I wore with it is from Costa Blanca, and the scarf is from Orb. I bought the green and gold necklace and the ring from a vendor in the student union building at UBC because I thought I should treat myself to some bling. I decided to continue taking selfies everyday, mostly for Instagram, but also Facebook and Twitter. Since I’ve decided to try blogging again, why not also share them on WordPress?
