Since Thursday was supposed to be warmer than Wednesday, I thought I would wear a dress again. This Old Navy dress is a little thicker than my other dresses so I thought I should wear it while the weather wasn’t too hot. This sweater is from H&M. It actually matches my nail polish. Or what’s left of my nail polish, anyway. My scarf is from an Orb warehouse sale, and my ring is from UBC. My necklace, bracelet, and earrings are from Claire’s. And I still hadn’t washed my hair yet because I wanted to keep it straight, or straight-ish for a little while longer. I ended up wearing sandals with this outfit, because my sister needed the one pair of flats I could find for her college graduation ceremony that day. It was also her birthday, so I let her have them. I have so many pairs of flats by I can’t seem to find any of them. My toes were kind of cold in sandals and my toenails were badly painted but oh well.
I got this blue top from Suzy Shier. I also have it in black, but they were like $5 each, so why would I not buy more than one? I think it was at Richmond Centre before they closed so maybe that’s why it was so cheap. My purple sweater is from Urban Behavior in Metrotown. Blue and purple are two of my favourite colours and I love pairing them together. My jewellery includes my Swarovski necklace, Claire’s earrings, UBC ring, and Dollarama bracelet. It’s getting warmer so I may not be wearing these Marshalls pants for much longer.
And we’re back to pants now that the concerts are over. I got this light green top and this light blue and yellow scarf at an Orb warehouse sale. It’s getting warmer so eventually I’ll have to stop with the scarves altogether. Sad, I know. I got the green cardigan at Ross Dress For Less in the States. Is that the proper term for these things? Like, it’s not a sweater, but what do I call it? A drapey top thing that you wear over a tank or short sleeved top? Seriously, what’s the proper term? Whatever, I’ll just keep calling it a cardigan because I don’t know any better. These earrings and this necklace are my go to jewellery whenever I’m wearing green. Which has been pretty often lately.
Day 2 of wearing pants. Crazy. But black pants don’t have to be boring when paired with colourful tops. I got this one at Bootlegger at Lougheed Town Centre when I was shopping with my grandma one day. In fact, she may have bought it for me. I remember I wore it to an interview at Jacob and when I got hired I was informed of the all black dress code. Which would have been fine, if I hadn’t been informed about it by the male assistant manager who was wearing a pair of jeans and an orange sweater. Yes, I get that he couldn’t be expected to buy clothes from Jacob, but if we had to wear black, then why didn’t he? We weren’t even allowed to wear jeans if they were from Jacob. But I’m glad my current job allows me a lot more variety. This blue cardigan from Ross is a repeat. But the colour is so nice, I just had to wear it again. The weather’s getting warmer, so I didn’t feel the need for a scarf. Which is a shame, since I have so many. But I’ll always have room for jewellery, in this case, earrings and necklace from Claire’s, and a bracelet from Suzy Shier.
