I got this colourful dress at Winners a couple years ago. I bought it in the summer specifically to wear at the Vancouver Pride Parade because of all the colours. The navy blue sweater I’m wearing with it was purchased at Old Navy, solely because I had super cash left that I needed to spend. They always get me with the super cash. I got the blue scarf from Suzy Shier as a gift for my mom a few years ago, but we end up sharing things like scarves and shoes because we can. My blue flower necklace was from the UBC sub and it kind of blends in with the colous of my dress.
I think this might be my favourite outfit. I just bought the sweater at Forever 21 recently and this was my first time wearing it. This type of blue is my favourite. I got the dress from Dynamite a few years ago and love how well it matches the sweater. I got the leopard print scarf from a vendor at the UBC student union building. I used to be obsessed with buying scarves there. My matching phone case is from Winners.
Being blue makes me happy.
The best part about Valentine’s Day does not actually occur on February 14th. Rather, it begins on February 15th and continues for a couple days after that. Of course, I’m talking about discounted candy. For those who may not receive all the heart shaped chocolates and candy that they had hoped for, they can take solace in the fact that they can purchase these for themselves for fairly cheap once the holiday is over.
If anyone is still interested in buying discounted Valentine’s Day candy, there is still plenty of it out there. At Dollarama, most of the Valentine’s candy is now 3 for $1. These include heart shaped chocolates, cinnamon hearts, lollipops, and cookies. There are also some nice gourmet cookies on sale at Winners. London Drugs, Save On Foods, Safeway, and Shoppers Drug Mart are also worth checking out for their discounts.
Now that Valentine’s day is over, the stores have stocked their shelves with Easter candy. Full price Easter candy. So naturally, I plan to wait until the day after Easter before I buy any. Which will be April 1st. Which is April Fool’s Day. But discounted candy is certainly no joke.
The purple flojos I got at the Orb sale have little peace signs on them that actually end up cutting you between the toes. And so I bought these new Clarks Bendables sandals at Winners. Had my feet not been hurting me at the time, I probably wouldn’t have bought them, or even noticed them. But I’m glad I did.
